Thank you for attending our "girl planned" day camp. The Cadette's of Girl Scout troop 52569 have worked throughout the school year planning activities for this camp. This has been a learning experience for them and me! I am used to planning activities with other adults, but it was fun working with my girls to plan our camp and get a girls perspective on things.
We will have meals and 2 snacks per day at camp. No dishes will be needed. We will be using paper plates. We encourage the girls to drink water on a daily basis to remain hydrated, so please send in a water bottle.
Please make sure your daughter has rain gear, whistle, hat/bandanna, sunscreen, extra clothes, jacket, pants. It is best to have all of this stuff labeled AND in a bag/backpack of some sort. The girls are welcome to bring a sit-upon if they would like. If your daughter has medications, she will need to keep them in her backpack.
The weather so far looks like it will be in the mid 70's to low/mid 80's. YEAH! If the weather turns bad, we will move under the large pavilion.
Friday we are having a carnival day in the morning and circus performance (skits) in the afternoon.
T-shirts will be handed out on Wednesday. They can wear them Thursday and Friday, but if they want them signed they will need to wear them on Friday (our official T-shirt signing day). Patches will be given out on your scouts last day of camp.
A menu and some recipes have been posted on the blog.
Should you need to reach us during camp hours, please call/text Poppy at 720-290-0556. It is easier to respond to text messages though.
